Nana and Papa took us to the Royals game last night. It was hot and humid early on, but cooled off quickly, and we had fun. Corey got to do the Little K hitting field, a racing game, a pitching game and mini-golf in the new kids play area at Kauffman Stadium. Then he and I went to watch the Diamondbacks batting practice (ironic we came to KC and still saw the Dbacks, huh?) from behind their dugout. While 3B Mark Reynolds was walking off the field he tossed Corey his batting gloves. I also got a thumbs up from Brandon Webb when I showed him I was wearing jersey T-shirt. We had two sets of seats -- 2 behind the dugout and four on the first base side -- so there was constanting shifting. Brody, Nana and Mommy made it through the 7th Inning Stretch, and the "big boys" stayed until the Dbacks' on-field celebration. It was a blast!
