Corey was officially the starting goalie for the black Mites team for the first time today, playing the whole game and saving 10 of 13 shots for a 10-3 victory. He was particularly pleased with his two "kick" saves. He also scored six goals in the Mini Mites game -- his coach told him he has to pass more next time -- after the team photo.

Wait- the goalie scored 6 goals? Who was in the goal while Corey was scoring? Pretty impressive start to the season!
Oh, sorry ... the Mini Mites (where Corey doesn't play goalie) is for 4- to 6-year-olds, and the Mites (where Corey DOES play goalie) is for 6- to 8-year-olds. Does that make sense? :-)
