Thanks to everyone who donated money for Hope Kids! They raised a lot of money - I think they said more than $120,000 across Phoenix, Minneapolis and Salt Lake City. They're starting a new chapter soon in Chicago.
Corey was up and ready to go right after 6, but Brody needed a little persuading so early. Yesterday was a big day - Brody had soccer pictures (did not go well) and a soccer game (did not go well), then I dropped him off at hockey, where Corey and Rob were already at Mini Mites practice. I went to a Kappa alumni brunch and came home just as Corey and Rob were heading out to Mites practice. Then we had Delaney and her family over last night, so it was a late night for the kids (8:30 is late for them!)
The 5k walk started at DC Ranch, a very nice market/park area in Scottsdale. Rob dragged the wagon which had Brody inside all the time and Corey part of the time. When we got to the end, there were goodies from Krispy Kreme, Fry's and some other places. They got to bounce in a bounce house and we saw some folks from Banner Desert we knew.
We really appreciate everyone's support of Hope Kids. Probably 90% of the games and movies we've been to since Corey's diagnosis have been funded from Hope Kids. I believe it made a huge difference - Corey got to experience so much more as a result, and sometimes forget all the other stuff he had to go through.
Speaking of Corey, he has an MRI on Sept. 30, so keep him in your thoughts. It's a three-hour deal, so he has to be under anesthesia. And of course, we hope his results are good news!
Are You Ready for Some Football??

One of the parents took some really good pictures at JD's flag football
game last weekend. They've come a long way since the first game! :-)

You did a fabulous job getting in shape and Walking for Hope Kids. We walked so much on our trip we may be able to join you next year! Love, Grammy
I'm impressed Rob walked a 5K pulling Brody in the wagon! That's a lot harder than just a 5K.
